In "Mindmuscle: A Simple Realist Guide To Physical, Mental & Spiritual Fitness", author Zoe Roxanne Ztarr/Kakas draws upon her more than twenty-five years of experience and expertise as a fitness instructor of learning and teaching group exercise and personal training courses to aid the reader in identifying personal problems and barriers to living an optimal life of personal satisfaction, emotional development, and spiritual accomplishment. "Mindmuscle" provides practical, realistic, and thoroughly 'user friendly' techniques for a journey of self-examination and the setting of personal goals. "Mindmuscle" covers a comprehensive diversity of thematically relevant issues including positive thinking, prayer, goal setting, the value of gratitude, eating disorders, dieting, keeping a food inventory, and more. The general principles laid out in "Mindmuscle" are readily adaptable and can be integrated into whatever the reader's current exercise and/or fitness program. Informed and informative, "Mindmuscle" is highly recommended reading for anyone of any age seeking to emancipate themselves from the expectations of others and the tyranny of compulsive consumerism arising from culturally reinforced definitions of the 'perfect body'.

book review

P.S. You’re Already Beautiful (You Just Don’t Know It!) will help you get to the heart of a BIG problem: It’s not what you look like, it’s what you think about yourself. It’s about regaining your self-esteem and seeing yourself in a different way. It provides information that will enable you to make informed decisions about what you should do (or not do) to your body. It provides action steps to help you learn how to become the person you want to be—healthy, fit, and happy. And parents, by dealing with your own compulsion for perfection, we can better guide our children in adopting a healthier lifestyle. You can become beautiful from the inside out!
KNOWLEDGE IS POWER! P.S. You’re Already Beautiful and the YWCA’s info-article, “The Beauty Report” (referenced in it) provide invaluable information and action steps to get you off the “road to nowhere” and help you achieve self-acceptance, wellness, and peace in your life and in the lives of your children. Interval Training

I taught an interval extreme training class today and wow! Kicks butt. Everyone needs to try this anaerobic, boot camp style workout. If you do this for 2 months, at leasst 2 days a week, and not change anything else, you will see a dramatic improvement with regard to your fitness goals, whether it's weight loss, muscle strength, or cardiovascular efficiency. COOL!
